Kanye “Ye” West is looking to sell his incredibly flashy (and expensive) beachfront property in Malibu, and he's turning to I sell sunset star Jason Oppenheim to facilitate the deal.
According Peoplewho first reported the news, West first purchased the sprawling home, which offers views of the Pacific Ocean from every room, two years ago for $57 million.
However, it seems he's willing to part with the property for a little less, as the seaside mansion is now listed for $53 million.
Oppenheim tells ET: “The interior finishes have been removed, and this creates an incredibly rare opportunity to purchase a Picasso on the water with the ability to restore it to your own specific standards, with modern technology and excellence.”
The large property, designed by acclaimed Japanese architect Tadao Ando, has 4,000 square feet inside, as well as 1,500 square feet of outdoor areas, in one of the most exclusive and beautiful areas of the country.
According to Oppenheim, the property's lower sales price reflects the cost of replacing the home's interiors, which West had removed during his brief tenure as owner.
Meanwhile, master architect Ando is probably best known (at least recently) for being the creative mind behind the $200 million property recently purchased by Beyoncé and JAY-Z.
The 30,000-square-foot home, in an area known as Billionaire's Row, took 15 years to build, has 30,000 square feet of living space and is made almost entirely of concrete. It also holds the record for the most expensive home purchase in California history.
