Jonathan Majors has been found guilty at his trial of misdemeanor assault. But the big question now is: what's next?

On Monday, December 18, 2023, the Marvel star was found guilty of misdemeanor third-degree assault. After a whirlwind two-week trial in connection with an alleged fight between him and his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, a jury found him guilty of recklessly causing bodily injury and harassment in the second degree.

Majors, who was present to hear the verdict in the case, remained stoic while wearing a gray suit as the president read the charges and announced that he was found not guilty of two other charges. For those charges, one of assault and the other of harassment, prosecutors had to prove that he had acted with intent during the alleged altercation with Jabbari.

It has been reported that Kevin Feige and the Marvel team have since been discussing a backup plan to recast Major as Kang or switch gears with a different villain in the next phase of the films. It's not like they haven't done it before (Edward Norton's Hulk and Terrance Howard's Rhodey), and Disney has already removed an Oscar movie with Major from its slate because of this. “Magazine Dreams,” a film in which Majors plays an amateur bodybuilder, was originally scheduled to be released Dec. 8.

Still, no official word has yet come from Disney or Marvel on whether Jonathan will continue.
