Kody Brown is reeling right now, folks.
Should you feel sorry for someone who chased away three of their spouses because they're sexist and selfish and generally considered a terrible parent?
We'll let the readers decide.
But Kody and Robyn Brown, the father of 17's only remaining wife, who is also his legal wife: sat down with People magazine this week and talked about the state of their union.
“Kody has been through a lot and dealt with a lot of frustration, anger, pain and betrayal, and I'm also going through my own emotions about it,” Robyn told this outlet.
“And it's been hard on our relationship.
“It's been very difficult for our relationship because I think when you're going through a divorce, you start to question yourself.”
Kody previously admitted that he recently thought about leaving Robyn because he felt like a “piece of shit” after Meri, Janelle and Christine moved on from him.
In fact, Robyn says here that Kody is in a “dark place,” a point she makes clear by stating for the record where his mind is right now.
“Moving on is still one of those things where you go through a divorce, you almost feel like God doesn't exist and you're very angry, very bitter,” Kody told People.
“We have to let some sun come back in.
“That's the thing. I think we're at a transition point where I'm letting the sunlight come back.”
On last Sunday's Sister Wives: One on One special, Robyn told host Sukanya Krishnan precisely how Kody “tries” to sabotage their romance and how she has to “stop him every time.”
“He picks fights with me (over) stupid things,” Robyn said through tears.
“We are in different places. We are in different places about the bomb that exploded against our family. And I'm in a big place of mourning and he's angry.
“He just wants to go get whatever, you know? And I'm like, 'No, I can't feel like that.'”
Christine finally worked up the courage to leave Kody in November 2021.
Janelle did the same about a year later.
Then in January, Kody and Meri announced they had ended their marriage.
When it comes to considering getting rid of Robyn, Kody confessed to People:
“Many dark winds were passing through me. Lots of devil, lots of temptation, which would be destructive to my relationship with Robyn.
“So I faced a lot of anger and she got frustrated. My anger was a turnoff. “It was terrifying.”
