Miranda Lambert He is feeling the love of some of his colleagues and close friends during his residency in Las Vegas.
Lambert recently sat down with ET to talk about herself velvet rodeo program, which, as recently announced, will run until April 2024, and will be supported by country singer Carrie Underwood.
“I don't think Carrie and I have ever seen each other's shows, maybe ever,” Lambert reflected. “Which is crazy to even say, because she and I started at the same time.”
Lambert detailed how she and Underwood have had “very parallel careers and paths” in the world of country music.
“She's from a small town in Oklahoma, I'm from a small town in Texas. She started IdolI was in national star “And I think she was like a year behind me, but we were the same age and we were, you know, on the same label for a decade,” Lambert explained. “So I feel like we have a lot of mutual respect for each other.”
Lambert praised Underwood as “one of the hardest working women in the business” and expressed respect for the way she “has done everything and done it with such grace.”
“I always say that if Carrie is on any show, country music is going to look good, because she's classy, she does great work, and she's an amazing vocalist,” Lambert continued.
“Actually I'm going to go see his show this week,” Lambert said, referring to Underwood residency show in Las Vegas, REFLECTION. “I'm excited. We're negotiating!”
Regarding Underwood's experience at Lambert's show, the singer said, “She was very sweet. She posted all about it and I think they had a great time.”
“I appreciated her supporting me. It was really sweet,” Lambert added.
Meanwhile, with Lambert's show set to run through 2024, the singer explained what fans could expect from the experience in the new year.
“We worked very hard to make this show and it has a lot of bells and whistles. It's flashy, it has a lot of firepower, confetti and glitter,” Lambert said. “So I'm sticking with the show. But we have a place in our show where I can do whatever… (so) I'll have little surprises sprinkled throughout.”
