Terrified passengers brace for impact in new video from the MS Maud, a cruise ship beset by strong winds and huge waves that cause a power outage.
Would-be vacationers, dressed in life jackets, can be seen grabbing tables and casting horrified glances around the room as waves, some of them reportedly 70 feet high, hit the cruise ship.
One person yells at others to get on the floor of the ship, claiming that it is safer than sitting at the tables.
The video also shows the crazy waves lifting the boat into the air before dropping it plummeting into the canyon between waves.
The MS Maud lost power on Thursday in the North Sea, east of Britain and north of Denmark.
After the blackout hit, the more than 260 guests were ordered to take shelter and Danish rescue ships arrived on the scene just 40 minutes later.
The cruise ship eventually arrived in Bremerhaven, Germany, and a passenger told the New York Post that the cruise line would pay for passengers' flights to London, the ship's original destination.
A terrifying scene for sure, but with a happy ending.
