“She's a fucking sister wife,” Kody said of Janelle.
“Wait, wait, wait, wait, stop. Shit, sister wife? You have to stop making this about sister wives,” the mother of five told her husband.
“I'm sorry, it's okay, I know,” Kody responded, before adding, “Yeah, well, we had a family that worked together. They're trying to blame you, trying to blame me and all those years in Vegas, “we were.” everyone working together.”
But Robyn stands by her position and says, “I know, but I'm trying to say that you always point out relationships between sisters and wives and never talk about your real problems with wives.”
Kody then lists “lack of loyalty” as his problem with his exes, and Robyn responds, “That's different. You need to stop pointing fingers at sister wives.”
Kody tries to clarify, noting, “Sorry, they're sister wives, I mean that in terms of the bigger picture, like the whole family picture, not just my portrait, but it's a whole family picture for me.”
Robyn isn't afraid to hold her ground throughout the response episode. When a clip of a family conversation is shown in which Kody asks Robyn and Meri for their opinion on Janelle's behavior, Robyn explained to her husband that she couldn't say anything at that moment.
“I couldn't join her. I couldn't join you,” he said. “It's not something that works in a plural family. We have to stay out of the problems between you and your wife.”
“It's okay, I don't feel betrayed by that,” Kody told her.
Robyn is Kody's only remaining wife after three breakups in three years with his first wives. The polygamist now says that she lives in monogamy.
