'The Voice': Mara Justine wows coaches with her final performances

Compete for coach Niall HoranThe soulful singer performed a cover of one of Niall's favorite ballads, Adele's “Turning Tables,” and made her coach proud.

“It's incredible the growth you've shown in this competition,” Niall praised. “That was a big, big Voice moment in my head… I hope you win this, you're amazing.”

His former coach, John LegendHe had to agree, admitting that he regrets that she is no longer on his team.

“It was so amazing and so beautiful,” John marveled at Mara's performance. “I love this performance… You're showing us everything. I'm very impressed.”

Later in the show, Mara returned to the stage with a performance of Janis Joplin's “Piece of My Heart” that “electrified the room.”

“Wow, wow, wow,” his coach marveled. “That's out of this stratosphere… This was the perfect song for this exact moment. What a moment it was.”

“You're a powerhouse,” Reba McEntire agreed. “So talented, so confident… That's what I love so much.”

Mara had one of the first four-chair turns of the season, winning over the coaches with Elton John's “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” but she ended up on Team Legend first.

He won his battle with Dusty Springfield's “Son of a Preacher Man,” but stumbled slightly in the Knockouts with Badfinger's “Without You.” After John failed to select her as the Knockout winner, Niall pulled off the steal, and Mara's playoff performance of Florence + The Machine's “You've Got the Love” earned her the ticket to the live show.

“Mara is perfect for live shows, because of the energy she brings,” Niall praised during his final Playoff cuts. “The control, the quality of her voice, is very exciting for this competition.”

ET spoke with the coaches on the red carpet ahead of this season's first live show, and they all marveled at the variety of talent they've seen on the show this year.

“The talent this year has been across the board – all of our teams are pretty crazy,” praised Niall. “The voices I have this year are some of the best singers I've ever heard.”

John agreed, saying, “The depth of talent this season is better than I've seen on this show since I've been here.”

“This is my eighth season and I've never seen this level of quality across the board,” he continued. “I'm very impressed with our artists this year.”

“I have some amazing singers, and I think it's going to come down to at this point people start to fall in love with not just the voice, but the person,” Gwen shared. “It's ridiculous this season. I know we say that every season and it always feels that way, but this one has a particularly difficult task.”

“I really couldn't tell you (who might win),” Reba agreed.

The voices Two parts season 24 finale airs Monday, December 18 at 8 pm PT/ET and Tuesday, December 19 at 9 pm PT/ET on NBC.
